About us

Garage Doors Lancashire: Trusted Family Business with 40+ Years of Expertise

Garage Doors Lancashire is a family-run company with over four decades of experience, supplying quality garage doors directly to the public. The business has earned multiple awards, including three consecutive Lancashire Safe Trader Customer Feedback wins, and holds Which? Trusted Trader status.

Founded by Peter Chester after his Merchant Navy career, the company is now led by his daughters Julie Chester, Gail Hoyle, and Beckie Delaney. Their 2,500 sq ft showroom features over 60 door styles—from steel and timber up-and-over to roller, sectional, and electric models—with matching fascia’s and front doors available.

Julie says: “We treat customers how we’d want to be treated. Our team helps people visualise and choose the right door for their home.”

With 28 staff, including fitters with 30+ years of service, the company also offers servicing, repairs, and spare parts. The showroom has free parking, disabled access, and is widely regarded as one of the best in the UK.
