About us

Established in 1997, The Garage Door People are a long established and very experienced family run business supplying services connected to the garage door industry.

Specialising in in the supply, installation, and repair of garage doors, associated automation, as well as entrance doors from our main office/showroom with warehousing based in Weston-Super-Mare to serve the south Bristol and North Somerset area. Our base in Wellington allows us to cover further into the West Country in South Somerset and Devon region. We do quite regularly travel further afield when requested which is looked at on an individual basis.

As well as our extensive work for private customers and self-builders we also have long established relationships ranging from a number of National House builders through smaller developers and individual builders as well as working with Architects and design consultants.

We carry an extensive stock of components for the repair side and often work closely with a wide range of clients from large Housing associations as well as Letting Agents, Estate agents as well as individual landlords and the private homeowner to give a speedy and comprehensive support in the region.

We are delighted to be a ‘Partner Standard’ distributor for Hörmann as well as being distributors for a very wide number of door manufacturers from the UK and Europe. As well as supply and installation, we offer direct supply to smaller installer businesses and to builders or individuals who wish to install their own products.

With our third generation of family members now being part of our small and knowledgeable team we are always happy to discuss and give advice and support if required.
