Hörmann UK have announced new judging categories for their 2024 Partner Standard Dealer awards which are held on an annual basis to recognise and reward the best companies in the garage door industry.

Open to all Hörmann Partner Standard dealers with a completed landing page, the awards will feature 8 different categories, with RollMatic T Fitter of the Year, Composite Door Fitter of the Year, and the Best Green Initiative being new for 2024. All dealers will also have the opportunity to put themselves forward for the prestigious Dealer of the Year. This year all etries will be submission based and via an online entry system, with the winners each receiving an engraved trophy, certificate, and email banner.

Previous Dealer awards have generated plenty of interest, with all categories being hotly contested. Dave Close, Director at Doorfit who won the Dealer of the Year for 2023 comments, “There’s no doubt that it was an honour for Doorfit to be shortlisted as the ‘Dealer of the Year’ alongside such worthy competition, but to actually win the award was amazing and emphasises how strong we can be when we work together. We are great believers in a team ethic, and this certainly wouldn’t have been possible without the continued commitment of all of our staff. Every individual involved strives to offer the very best service and this award, alongside the others we won, is recognition of a mission completed.

The judging panel will be led by Wolfgang Gorner and will include experts from the Hörmann Team along with two external judges – Derek Hibbart Editor of Door Industry Journal and Steve Sidebottom Editor of Clearview magazine.

Partner standard dealers should look out for mailings and information from Hörmann providing details on entry criteria and further details of all the categories. The competition will be open for entries on 2^nd September and close on 14^th October. The winners of all categories will be announced on 11^th November 2024.
